TCC STATEMENT REGARDING COVID-19
To our Catching Camp family:
This past year was certainly a challenging one for all of us. The effect Covid-19 has had on The Catching Camp was a profound one. Never in our 20+ year history have we ever gone more than a month without providing some level of consistent instruction to catchers from around the world. However, we felt it was in the best interest for our students, their families and our staff to postpone all events until we felt like it was safe enough to entertain the idea of getting back onto the field.
This February marks our return to “normalcy”, in that we will once again be offering catchers around the country the opportunity to attend events structured to enable their growth, both as an catcher and a person. We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces, as well as the new ones we have yet to welcome into the TCC family.
In order to do this, we have taken steps to ensure that our events are as safe as possible with respect to Covid-19. Here’s just a small list of what we are doing to keep our events safe:
1. A no-tolerance social-distancing policy will be strictly enforced at all TCC events.
2. Hand Sanitizer stations will be set up around our camp location, and we will ask each person entering the camp area to use it prior to entry.
3. A mandatory parental mask policy will be in place for every TCC event.
4. TCC Staff will be wearing masks throughout each event when we are unable to social distance and during any period of time when we are not actively instructing.
5. Students and parents must go through a Covid-19 screening prior to entry (this will include a non-contact forehead temperature check, as well as a standard Covid-19 questionnaire.
Additional steps will likely be taken, but we wanted to make sure we let you all know that we have our student’s and their family’s health and safety in mind and will strive to ensure a safe environment at every TCC event.
We cannot wait to see all of you again soon!
Best regards,
